AUGUST CONSISTORY HIGHLIGHTS
 
•       Pastor Steve reported the deaths/funerals of Jean Stoudt and Rod Dietrich.
 
•       Betsy Majewski will be attending Lancaster Seminary to pursue the Ministry in Christian Education, Youth and Young Families (Master of Arts in Religion Degree).  Motion passed unanimously to approve, endorse, and support Betsy with In-Care Status with the United Church of Christ.
 
•       Motion approved for the Pied Piper budget for the year starting September 2008.  
 
•       John Boyle reviewed the Stewardship program for the upcoming year.  
                            
•       Motion approved to implement the Member Status and Three Year Plan presented by the Spiritual Council.
 
•       Kasey Angstadt reported that Family Promise will be held the week of September 28th. 
 
•       Property Committee reported that roof repairs and related issues were completed and a hot water heater was installed in the downstairs kitchen.  Plans to handle security issues will be developed to address concerns.
 
•       Evangelism Committee reported that a prayer program titled “Unbinding your Heart” will be started the first Sunday in November.  Fifty books (one per family) will be handed out in October.
 
•       Ann Kidd reported that we had a very good turnout for the Church picnic and everyone enjoyed the day.
 
•       The Christian Education committee reported that plans were coming together for the upcoming Sunday School program.
