Dear Friends,

I have a love-hate relationship with the Summer.

I love it for the weather and being able to swim and get a nice brown color to my skin (yes - I know that is hazardous to my health).  I love being able to eat dinner outside and sip a nice cold lemonade on the patio at night.  I love having a lighter workload and more time to spend with friends.  I love being able to ride my motorcycle almost all of the time.

I hate (or, at least, dislike) that the beaches in New Jersey get so crowded you can't see the sand.  I dislike having to stand on long lines to get water ice or ice cream.  I can't stand it when people in convertibles ride with their music so loud I can't hear my thoughts in my brain.

And I love going to church in the warmth of our sanctuary and having special music every week and joining others for "Lemonade in the Shade" after the 9:30 service.  I love taking my vacation and sending my kids to Mensch Mill for a week of sleepover camp.  I love seeing all of you - well, maybe not all of you - but most of you coming to worship in spite of the many tempting offers that Summer has to offer.

We will be here - every Summer Sunday - worshiping God together in the beauty of our Sanctuary and Chapel - and I hope you will be there too - with a friend or neighbor.

See you in church,

           Pastor Steve
