Hello from Steve Ohnsman.

I'd like to welcome you to Calvary's Webpage.

I see my role as three-fold. The first is as pastor. I believe I need to lead and gently urge members to do their ministries. As a pastor I need to teach discipleship. Second, I have priestly roles. I need to be prepared and willing to take risks for Jesus. I need to offer the assurance of God's love coupled with the necessity for all of us to grow and change. Third, as prophet I am called to speak clearly and supportively.

The life of the church focuses around the worship service. It is the central way in which we attempt to understand Christ. Worship needs to be spiritual, biblical, and current. The sacraments need to be celebrated regularly and with integrity.

Lay people need to be involved in the ministry, but the pastor should take the lead. Visitors need to be welcomed and offered friendship. We need to reach out to those who have missed or lost their relationship with God.

When you are in the neighborhood, stop in and celebrate God's love with us at Calvary.
